15Cr3 forging ingots
Low carbon chromium steel in the Indian designation, used for light case hardened parts.
Case hardening steel ingots are low carbon alloys that are carburised after forging to give a hard surface over a tough core. They are the starting stock for large gear blanks, pinions and transmission shafts.
Supplied as square, fluted and round forging ingots, M1.5 to M22 (1,450 to 23,500 kg with hot top), vacuum degassed and bottom poured. Send the grade, standard, ingot mark and shape for a quotation. Chemistry is certified on the heat test certificate.
