How to read the chart
Mark is the weight class. Size is the body of the ingot without the hot top (small end × large end × height). Hot top is either over imposed or semi inserted; read about hot top ingots. Pcs per heat is the number of ingots poured from one heat.

Ingot size questions
What sizes of forging ingots does Kesari Alloys supply?
Kesari Alloys supplies square, fluted and round forging ingots from M1.5 (about 1.45 tonne) up to M22 (about 21 to 23.5 tonne with hot top). The full table is on the ingot size chart page.
What does the M number mean on a forging ingot?
The M mark is the ingot weight class. M1.5 is about 1.5 tonne and M22 is about 22 tonne. The exact weight with hot top depends on the shape and hot top type, as shown in the table.
Are the ingot weights exact?
No. Weights include the hot top and are nominal. Final weights depend on mould and hot top, and are confirmed at order.
