Square Forging Ingots

Square forging ingots are the simple, standard shape for general open die forging. Kesari Alloys is a square steel ingot manufacturer for carbon and alloy steel forgings from 1.45 to 6.9 tonne.

Square ingot sizes

We cast eleven square sizes from M1.5 to M6. Examples: M1.5 at 11 × 15 × 66 inch (1,450 kg), M3 at 17 × 21 × 66 inch (2,850 kg), M4 at 20 × 24 × 72 inch (4,100 kg) and M6 at 28 × 33 × 54 inch (6,400 to 6,900 kg). All weights are with hot top. See the size chart for the full table.

When to choose square

Square ingots match the flat anvil faces of open die forging and are the economical choice for carbon steels and moderate alloy grades. For crack-sensitive alloys and heavier weights, fluted ingots cool more evenly; read square vs fluted forging ingots.
